Dalvi, Sodhi & Bharat Kumar: Pointed-out Cancerous Rot in Indian Army

By:    Aasef Chauhdry

There were three crucial times in the Indian armed forces’ history when there were a lot of hullabaloos. First time the uproar was, when in 1969 Brigadier Dalvi scripted a controversial book ‘The Himalayan Blunder”. Brigadier John Parashuram Dalvi was an Indian Army officer. During the Sino-Indian War of 1962, he was the commander of the Indian 7th Brigade, which was destroyed, leading Dalvi to be captured by the People’s Liberation Army on 22 October 1962.
In his book Himalayan Blunder, Brigadier Dalvi gives his version of the events that led to India’s debacle in the Himalayas. His book corroborates Neville Maxwell’s claims in latter’s book “India’s China War”, his widely acclaimed account of the 1962 border war between India and China. Maxwell’s main thesis was that India was the belligerent party and the Indian army, though totally unprepared, had been ordered to throw the Chinese out of positions which India claimed was within Indian boundaries. The Chinese justifiably, launched a devastating pre-emptive strike against the Indian army and pushed their way to the plains of Assam. To a large extent, Dalvi’s account is in tune with Maxwell’s except for the difference on claim about all the land south of the McMahon line.

Dalvi was of the view that an unprepared Indian army was ordered to march on hard scales, carrying pouch ammunition, thrown into battle with a vastly superior Chinese army, while Maxwell claims that in NEFA, the Indian army made useless sacrifices, when a withdrawal to Bomdi La would have made much more sense. On the whole, Dalvi agreed with this assessment. Dalvi also agrees with Maxwell’s opinion that if only the Indian army had followed the plan formulated in 1959 by General Thorat which recommended a triple tiered defense structure in the north-east, it would have fared much better against the Chinese. The McMahon line could not be defended by sitting on it. Instead the Indian army ought to have retreated to Bomdi La, closer to its supply lines and fought the Chinese army when it was fully stretched.
Another equally interesting chapter deals with how Dalvi seriously considered resigning his command just before the outbreak of inevitable hostilities on 20 October 1962. Who’s to blame for India’s debacle? Dalvi puts a large portion of the blame on the arrogant and high-handed Nehru who firmly believed that the Chinese would not invade. Another big chunk is laid at the door of Lt. Gen. Brij Mohan Kaul, Nehru’s protégée who, despite not having held a war-time command, was tasked with throwing the Chinese army out of Indian borders. Dalvi made it clear that the Chinese army had prepared extensively for the war. They had prepared large prisoner of war camps and even padded winter suits for their prisoners. Dalvi tells us that the Chinese army had many ethnic Chinese who had lived in India and could speak Indian languages. Many of the local guides hired by the Indian army were allegedly in the pay of the Chinese.

Second time when there was a lot of swirls and stirs, it was due to Brigadier Harinder Singh Sodhi’s again a controversial book “Top Brass: Critical Analysis of Indian Military Leadership”. Sodhi is well known in the Indian army circles for having commanded an important Mountain Brigade during the 1971 East Pakistan’s Indian sponsored insurgency. His book offered a perceptive analysis of a number of vital factors involved in the internal operation and performance of the Indian Army. He honestly and closely investigated some crucial aspects of the Army’s interaction with the Central Government and other agencies: including secret agencies like the RAW, etc. Further, examines the much-debated subject of “civil supremacy” in military affairs and that of lack of “Professionalism” in the Army. A large number of other Indian writers have also been discussing and criticising the deteriorating professionalism in the armed forces. About few years back one Rajee Khushwaha, a renowned writer wrote a two part article under the title ‘The Rot in the Indian Army”.

In his article not only that he brought out the extent, consequences and fangs of the cancerous rot in the army and its dangers to Indian nation but also highlighted its dimensions and manifestations with emphasis on how and when the rot started. He tried to sum up a sensitive issue in just few lines by saying, “Indian army functions in ‘NO WAR-NO PEACE’ environs – No war for the Generals and No Peace for the Soldiers – Generals have enough time to indulge in merry-making and Soldiers have no time to attend to their basic needs. Soldiers are getting frustrated and generals are getting compensated for their inaction. Army is today commanded by Contractors, Arms dealers and manipulative bureaucrats. Generals have abdicated generalship to them. We sure have a rising storm of corruption”.

In his book, Brigadier Dalvi also confessed that India did not use its Air Force in an offensive role during the fighting though the IAF was, in at least a few respects, superior to the Chinese Air Force. Although, he did not analyse this issue, nevertheless, last month another book revealing shocking facts about the weaknesses of Indian Air Force has been published. The author is none other than a former Indian Air Marshal Bharat Kumar, who has admitted that India bore heavier lose in 1965 Indo-Pak war as Pakistan gunned down 35 Indian Jets just in first two days. He made this confession in his lately published book ‘The Duels of the Himalayan Eagle, the first Indo-Pak War’ which is published on the occasion when 50 years of Indo-Pak war has passed. Indian Newspaper ‘India Times’ has also posted a report in which they claimed that it was admitted in Ministry of Defense record that India suffered more than Pakistan in 1965 war but this war ended with no results.

It’s very upsetting factor for the mature and concerned Indians that amid this battle readiness and standard of professionalism, why Modi government is unnecessarily raising war cry against Pakistan and why not Modi concentrate more on improving the professional standard of the Indian armed forces?

Indian Veterans’ Message: “Ab Tumharay Hawalay Watan Saathiyo”

Aasef Chauhdry

Army personnel of any country or society are given remarkable respect by the people of that respective country as they are reckoned as the icon of the security for that state. While the serving soldiers earn a great respect, the veterans are esteemed in an exemplary way. They are given preference over general public in every office and at every outlet. They are taken and treated as heroes. However, unfortunately, India is one such country where the ex servicemen are not only humiliated and disgraced but are considered as a ‘security threat’ as well.
Indian Military veterans had camped around the country’s capital Delhi since June 2015 to remind Modi government about their promised pension enhancement demand. Sadly, on 14 Aug 2015, Delhi police manhandled/ lathi charged these peaceful protesters even snatched medals from their shirts. They were protesting for the implementation of the long pending and promised demand of One Rank One Pension (OROP). The police officials not only were rude and insolent to the protesting ex servicemen from various ranks but also physically manhandled them. However, soon the government who realised its blunder was forced to backtrack after widespread outrage. In an obvious damage-control exercise later in the day, the government expressed regret over the Delhi police’s attempts to evict the protesting ex-servicemen from the protesting spot known as Jantar Mantar, saying it respects and honours the sacrifices of former soldiers and that special permission was given to continue their agitation. But to the government’s bad luck, the damage seemed to have been done, with furious veterans along with their families, had the plans to observe a hunger strike on August 15, 2015, the Independence Day while some veterans were determined to treat it as a “black Independence Day”. In an emotional twist, an ex-serviceman wore his medals on a shirt that he said had been torn by the police.

Terming the Delhi police action as “barbaric” and “undemocratic”, the ex-servicemen, who have been on protest for nearly two months, wondered how they could be a “security threat” when they had dedicated their lives to protecting the country while in service. Maj. Gen. Satbir Singh (Retd), a prominent member of the Indian Ex-servicemen Movement, said that, “This is shocking and obnoxious. Nothing can be worse. We are the protectors of India’s independence. We are requesting the police commissioner to restore our tents since we had permission. The move to remove our tents is barbaric, undemocratic and dictatorial as it comes on the eve of Independence Day”.
The Delhi police said they tried to evict protesters from various outfits from Jantar Mantar in the heart of the capital following a request by the New Delhi Municipal Council. The situation after the Delhi police’s barbaric and stupid act turned so sensitive that even the Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal also had to come out in support of the ex-servicemen and slammed the Delhi police.
Thousands of bravery medals may be returned to the government soon, if veterans who have been protesting the delay in the implementation of the one rank one pension policy have their way. Ex-servicemen, who have been on a relay hunger strike since June at Jantar Mantar, will be asking Prime Minister Narendra Modi to meet them and take back 10,000 medals as a mark of protest. Though the government announced on September 5 that OROP would be implemented, the protesting veterans said there were seven major flaws in the plan. The veterans said the government had not issued the notification to implement OROP, which it said would do so within a month of the announcement on September 5. Meanwhile, the 114th day of the relay hunger strike at Jantar Mantar was marked as first, with only women family members of the veterans observing fast. Sudesh Gohat, wife of Major (Retd) Ajmer Singh said it was the plight of widows of veterans that made her join the agitation. She said while talking to widows of soldiers, who have to survive on Rs. 3,500 per month as pension, had moved her. Hence I decided to join the protest till the Prime Minister gives us true OROP.
Major General (Retd.) Satbir Singh, who has been leading the agitation as an adviser to the United Front of Ex-Servicemen, was determined to write to the Prime Minister seeking appointment. According to him, over the past year, 10,000 medals had been sent or given to the society by ex-servicemen across India and those will be returned to Mr. Modi after the ex servicemen society get a time from the prime minister. He said that, “The apathy of the government has left us with no other choice. In the past disgruntled ex-soldiers had returned their medals to the President, the commander-in-chief of the armed forces. But, this time we want to give the medals to the Prime Minister, as it was he who promised during the election campaign that we would get OROP. Returning the medals will send a message to the entire country that assurances given have not been fulfilled,” said Maj. Gen. Singh.
It is almost a decade that the retired Indian armed forces persons are struggling that irrespective of the year of retirement, the pension on retirement should be same of one rank. Indian Ex Servicemen Movement (IESM) representing 2.5 million Indian retired all ranks and their widows have resorted to public protests and hunger strikes since Jun 2015. Many retired senior officers are writing to the Indian President and Defense Minister on the subject especially in the light of Narendra Modi promise during general elections. As per Indian veteran society, “the message of dissatisfaction has already gone to the serving personnel as they saw the action of Delhi police on their television screens”. Indian Govt is under pressure after this incident however is not expected to announce some revolutionary decisions. The Modi government is in habit of taking the issues lightly as they have done recently in case of returning of awards by the renowned authors/writers as a protest against Dadri lynching case and on Dr. Kalburgi’s murder. The ex servicemen of India might have got some lollypop by now which is likely to finish soon.

Intolerant India: The Beginning as End

By:    Sohail Parwaz
Under the banner of extremism with Shiv Sena as the advance guard and Narendra Modi as the flag bearer, the so-called biggest democracy of the world is heading for the destination named ‘Disaster’. Not that the extremism did not exist in the ‘realm’ earlier. In fact it was there and since from the days of Muslims ruling the Subcontinent this hate, bitterness and odium is still on hand. The verity has been proved again and again at several occasions. May that was the arrival of East India Company, Emperor Akbar’s court and counted ones, Shaheed Titu Mir of Bengal’s war against the colonialism or Shaheed Tipu Sultan’s freedom struggle against the British Raj, the Hindu conspirators never spared any moment to malign or let down the Muslims of India. Nevertheless, with Narendra Modi in the premier’s chair the hate race has picked up the pace. No one has to take pain for travelling to far in the history. The early nineties are enough to prove about the abhorrence that Modi keeps in his heart for the Muslims of India and of elsewhere in the world. The grimy and grubby tale of Babari Masjid’s dismembering and the heinous and tragic killing of the Muslims of Ahmadabad and Sabarmati express are still fresh in every human mind. During the early days of Modi’s premiership the radical Hindus were encouraged not only to harass and harm the Muslims but to forcefully convert those untouchable poor back to Hinduism who after being subjugated to Hindu class system, reverted to Islam. These gory tales were still talk of the town when recently two very significant but shameful incidents took place thus brought a bad name to India.
The first incident took place on Sunday, August 30, 2015 when during the early hours of the morning few youngsters entered a renowned and aged Kannada writer Dr. MM Kalburgi’s house and killed him from a point blank range allegedly for his views on idol worship and Hindu rituals. Initial reports suggest that right-wing activists might be involved. People and political elite of Dharwad, the literary capital of Karnataka that has produced the highest number of Jnanpith awardees in Kannada, went in to a state of shock and disgust since kind of cold-blooded murder targeting litterateurs was unheard of Karnataka till date. Dr. Kalburgi was not an ordinary writer. Dr Kalburgi, a Vijayapura (Bijapur) district born of 1938, studied Kannada literature and taught at one of the oldest universities in Karnataka.  He had authored over 100 books in Kannada and was an innate orator too.  An important fact is that last year, the police had filed a case against him for allegedly hurting the sentiments of Hindus after he criticised idol worship quoting a literary work of another celebrated writer and Jnanpith awardee late Dr UR Ananthamurthy. Not to be cowed down by such bullying, Dr Kalburgi continued his crusade against idol worship and Brahman rituals and ultimately paid the price.
The other disgusting tragedy took place almost a month after Kalburgi’s killing on September 28, 2015 when the family of a 52-year old Muslim Mohammad Akhlaq Saifi of village Bisara near Dadri, UP, India was attacked by an angry and furious mob after an announcement was made through the public address system of a local temple by two unknown youngsters that Akhlaq’s family had killed a cow and consumed its meat on Eid ul Adha. The family had been living in the village for about 70 years; however the mob carrying batons, swords and pistols didn’t care for it and arrived at Mohammad Akhlaq’s house at around 10:30pm. The family had finished dinner and was going to sleep. The mob accused them of consuming beef. They found some meat in the refrigerator and seized it. But the family insisted it was mutton. The mob dragged the family outside. Akhlaq and Danish were repeatedly kicked, hit with bricks and stabbed. Akhlaq’s elderly mother and wife were also attacked. As some good people exist in the society everywhere, so the Hindu neighbours here, also tried to stop the mob but could not succeed. The police were called and they arrived an hour later. By then, Akhlaq was dead and Danish was badly injured. According to the police investigation this mob lynching case of Dadri took place due to rumour spreading. Unfortunately, the inopportune Muhammad Akhlaq before being lynched by the angry mob, made a desperate call to none other than his childhood friend  Manoj Sisodia for help, ”Manoj, we are in danger. Please call up the police and ask them to send a force”, was the last SOS message sent by him. The friend did his best but the efforts proved to be futile.
A frightening and shocking state of affairs is purposely being created throughout India in all spheres of life after the Modi government came to power. The religious concord and secularism of the country is unprecedentedly under threat. Three writers had already been killed; however, the Centre had done nothing to drive out the growing panic and dismay among writers, activists and people from the other walks of society. After the Dadri lynching, the Urdu writing community has been quite dejected. Joining a growing protest against ‘rising intolerance’ in the backdrop of murder of noted rationalists and Dadri lynching incident, eminent Malayalam writer Sarah Joseph and Urdu novelist Rehman Abbas announced to return the Sahitya Akademi award and the Maharashtra State Urdu Sahitya Academy award respectively. English author Keki N Daruwalla sent a letter of protest to Akademi Chairperson Vishwanath Prasad Tiwari over the literary body’s apologetic stance on Kalburgi’s killing. Another prominent writer Sara Joseph, who won the prestigious honour for her novel ‘Aalahayude Penmakkal’ (Daughters of God the Father), also confirmed that she would be returning the cash prize and plaque to the Akademi soon. The announcement came on a day when noted Malayalam writers K Satchidanandan, PK Parakkadavu and KS Ravikumar quit their posts in the Akademi as disapproval to the murder of Kannada writer and rationalist MM Kalburgi in Dharwad. Parakkadavu also said he would also resign from his Akademi membership.
The writers/intellectuals of India are disappointed to note that the Akademi has failed in its duty to stand with the writers and to uphold the freedom of expression guaranteed by the Constitution that seems to be getting violated every day. Observing that the Sahitya Akademi was the “conscience keeper of the writing community”, they said that literary body should actively condemn the killing of Kalburgi. Earlier this week, eminent writer Nayantara Sahgal and former Lalit Kala Akademi chairman Ashok Vajpeyi had returned their Sahitya Akademi Awards to protest against the “assault on right to freedom of both life and expression” amid “growing intolerance” in the country. Noted Hindi writer Uday Prakash was the first to return his Sahitya Akademi award to protest Kalburgi’s murder.
The irony is that the ruling party’s responsible ministers are not taking this sensitive issue seriously and not showing any sign of even slightest responsibility. The culture minister Mahesh Sharma who was expected to defuse the situation by issuing a sympathetic and consoling statement after Sahitya Akademi awardees’ surrendering their award or resigning from the organisation, rather insisted that the act was the “personal choice” of the writers.
Arun Jaitley, the Union finance minister cynically remarked about the return of Sahitya Akademi awards by several writers following the Dadri lynching incident as a “manufactured paper rebellion” against the government “in the wake of a manufactured crisis”. He asked the writers sarcastically whether their protest was “real or manufactured” and if it was “a case of ideological intolerance”.
The religious intolerance, radicalism and fanaticism are taking away the peace of India aka so-called biggest secular and democratic country of the world. Almost a decade back there was a lot of hue and cry when the renowned Indian writer and intellectual Khushwant Singh’s book, “The End of India” flooded the markets, nevertheless today when the fate of India is in the hands of the Hindutva’s followers, it looks as if that ‘END’ is on the horizon.

27 October: A Day for the Indians to Feel Mortified

By:    Aasef Chauhdry
The Maharaja of the State of Jammu and Kashmir and the Indian government were in corroboration, hence former, on 26 October, very cunningly signed the Instrument of Accession (IOA) acceding the 75% majority Muslim region to the Indian Union. India was already waiting thus accepted the accession, regarding it “provisional” until such time as the will of the people can be ascertained by a plebiscite, since Kashmir was recognized as a disputed territory, however that excuse was an eyewash to shed away the world pressure.
Both the parties, as mutually and discreetly decided, the Indian army entered the state on 27 October on the plea of repelling the ‘invaders’. On 27-28 October, the soldiers of Indian army committed heinous crimes and the charges of atrocities by them are on record. Pakistan disputed that the accession was illegal given by the Maharaja who acted under duress and that he had no right to sign an agreement with India when the standstill agreement with Pakistan was still in force. .
India is committing human rights violations on larger scale in Indian Occupied Kashmir since long. In Jammu and Kashmir, a disputed territory administered by India the human rights abuses is an ongoing issue. The abuses range from mass killings, forced disappearances, torture, rape, sexual abuse to political tyranny and suppression of freedom of speech. The Indian central reserve police force, border security personnel and various militant groups have been accused and held accountable for committing severe human rights abuses against Kashmiri civilians. A Wiki Leaks issue had also revealed Indian systemic human rights violations. According to media reports, US diplomats have possessed the evidence of the apparent widespread use of torture by Indian security forces and Indian police. The judiciary remained overburdened, and court backlogs led to lengthy delays or the denial of justice. Authorities continued to infringe on citizens’ privacy rights. India’s illegitimate occupation of IOK for over six decades has been a perpetual source of gross human rights violation and atrocities against innocent people of IOK.  India is continuously disregarding UN resolutions for conducting plebiscite for the people of Kashmir.

To suppress the legitimate voices of IOK’s populace, India has positioned a large number of Security Forces in the valley.  Indian security forces are the major perpetrators of human rights violation in the state but no action is ever taken against the culprits in contravention to international law. The barbaric Security forces since 1989 have killed 100,000 innocent Kashmiris, in excess of 150,000 civilians have been arrested on fake allegations, 25,000 women have been made widows, over 110,000 children have been made orphans and over 10,000 women have been gang raped/molested.  Such a large scale of human rights violations amply highlighted by international community, have not shattered the Hindu centric mind set of Indian Governments.  These atrocities are escalating in the era of RSS driven, anti Muslim Hardliner BJP.

The global human rights group Amnesty International has slammed India for lack of accountability amid 25 years of human rights violations in Indian occupied Kashmir in its report titled: “Denied: Failures in accountability for human rights violations by security force personnel in Jammu and Kashmir”. The Amnesty International’s report documented the kind of obstacles there are in the way of accountability for human rights offenders. Other than highlighting several cases where Indian army personnel were not brought to justice for human rights offenses, the Amnesty report also puts a special focus on Section 7 of the Armed Forces (Jammu and Kashmir) Special Powers Act, 1990 (AFSPA), which grants immunity to armed forces personnel from prosecution.
“Till now, not a single member of the security forces deployed in the state has been tried for human rights violations in a civilian court. This lack of accountability has in turn facilitated other serious abuses,” Minar Pimple, Senior Director of Global Operations at Amnesty International said.
Indian authorities have given a free hand to its security forces under AFSPA to carry out worst kinds of human rights violations in IOK to suppress the on-going freedom movement. Recently, besides search and cordon operations, a trend of target killing has surfaced in which several pro-movement activists have been gunned down just within a span of four weeks.
In July 2011, British parliamentarian George Galloway, the veteran campaigner on Kashmir, while addressing a seminar at the UN in Geneva had said that Kashmiris simply want plebiscite which was promised to them by the UN and former prime minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru. He pointed out to the world that due to a crime committed by the British empire the sufferings of the Kashmiris were greater than the Palestinians and some 80,000 had died in more than 20 years of freedom struggle, uncountable numbers had been imprisoned, exiled, wounded and maimed, while the rape was used as a tool of occupation. Mr. Galloway stated in unambiguous words that Kashmir was never the part of India.
The Indians have denied the Kashmiris, their very basic right of plebiscite, instead have browbeaten and subjugated them at gunpoint. Every rise has a fall, may it be of power and every dog has a day and so do India. It’s almost 68 years that the Indians are greedily clinging to the burning valley, not realizing that whatever gets aged it proportionally gets weaker. The writing is on the wall and soon the tyrants will not only have to vacate the valley but will be bowing to the Will of Kashmiris.

Religious and Ethnic Chauvinism in India

By Sajjad Shaukat

Since the leader of the ruling party BJP Narendra Modi became Prime Minister of India, various developments like unprecedented rise of Hindu extremism, persecution of minorities, forced conversions of other religious minorities into Hindus, ban on beef and cow slaughter, inclusion of Hindu religious books in curriculum, creation of war-like situation with Pakistan etc. clearly show that encouraged by the fundamentalist rulers, Hindu extremist outfits such as BJP, RSS VHP, Bajrang Dal and Shiv Sena including other similar parties have been promoting religious and ethnic chauvinism in India by propagating ideology of Hindutva (Hindu nationalism).

In fact, on the basis of anti-Muslim and anti-Pakistan slogans, BJP got a land sliding victory in the Indian elections 2014. Hence, Prime Minister Modi is giving impetus to Hindu chauvinism against Pakistan, as under his directions, New Delhi accelerated unprovoked firing at the Line of Control in Kashmir and Working Boundary across Pak-Indian border, even without bothering for nuclear war.

In this regard, some recent developments and incidents have verified the anti-Pakistan approach of India. On October 19, this year, a meeting between India and Pakistan’s cricket board chiefs in Mumbai regarding India’s participation in Pakistan’s home series in December has been cancelled after a protest by far-right Hindu nationalists of Shiv Sena, who by shouting anti-Pakistan slogans, broke into the office of the Indian cricket board. Some Shiv Sena activists were arrested in relation to the incident, but set free by Indian court which took no action against leaders and workers. On the same day, activists of a Hindu extremist group threw ink on a Muslim member of Jammu and Kashmir Legislature Assembly (MLA), Engineer Rashid, in New Delhi. On October 7, he had been beaten up by BJP members in the assembly a day after he had reportedly hosted a beef party.

The ink attack in New Delhi came a week after Shiv Sena extremists threw ink over an Indian politician, Sudheendra Kulkarni who was organizer of former Pakistani foreign minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri's book launch in Mumbai. Earlier this October, the party forced cancellation of a concert in Mumbai by Pakistani singer Ghulam Ali.

Similarly, in the month of October, some policemen in India’s Mumbai city subjected two Muslim boys to severe torture and asked them to go to Pakistan. A group of local villagers, belonging to Hindu fundamentalists also targeted a Muslim man Noman who was beaten to death and four other men in Himachal Pradesh after seeing them, transporting cattle in a truck. And a Muslim man died after being kicked and beaten by a group of Hindus over rumours that he ate beef.

Surprisingly, India is the world s largest exporter of beef and is its fifth biggest consumer, but cow slaughter has been virtually forbidden under the Modi rule.

Radicalization of India by Hindu fanatic groups could be judged from some other developments. On May 28, 2014, Rashtriya Hindu Andolan, a Mangalore-based Hindutva outfit and activists from various right wing groups organized a protest in Mangalore in front of the office of Deputy Commissioner by demanding the authorities to ban the morning Muslim call to prayer (Azan) across the country. Besides, forcing the Muslim employee in a Parliament Canteen by BJP leader to break his fast by stuffing piece of bread in his mouth, statement of Deputy Chief of Goa, declaring India as a Hindu state, opposition to declaration of Sania Mirza as Ambassador of Indian state by calling her daughter-in-law of Pakistan might be cited as example.

Besides other anti-Muslim incidents like the discovery of the unmarked graves of thousands of the innocent Kashmiris, killed by the Indian security forces in the Indian-held Kashmir, pre-planned destruction of the Babri Masjid (mosque) in 1992 and genocide of the 2500 Muslims in 2002 in the then BJP-ruled Indian state of Gujarat where Modi was Chief Minister—and participants of the Indian high officials in the events especially be cited as instance. But, it is strange that US government denied visa to Modi on the basis of his involvement in Gujrat programme, however, after his election as Indian prime minister, American stance changed to his favour.

In the recent past, frequent events of gang rape, specially the rape of elderly Nun shows the ugly face of India. Besides various attacks on the foreigners, assault on Australian couple tortured for having religious tattoos is noteworthy.

It is notable that forced conversions of other religious minorities into Hindus also continue. In this respect, Bajrang Dal, an offshoot of the RSS, converted at least 57 Muslim families (200 people) into Hindus at a ‘Purkhon Ki Ghar Vapsi’ (Coming home of the ancestors) or Shudhi (Purification) ceremony in Agra, Uttar Pradesh.  Previously, in early September 2014, Christians were also forcefully converted to Hindus which created unrest among Christian clergy. Six months ago, a similar event in Aligarh saw Christian families converting to Hinduism. Nevertheless, since installment of BJP government in the center, RSS and its offshoots have accelerated their efforts for minorities’ conversion into Hindus.

As regards persecution of minorities in India, Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission Testimony by Human Rights Watch presented before US Senate Committee (2014) on atrocious attitude of Hindu majority has highlighted the plight of minorities in India.

As a matter of fact, organized events of crimes against the Christian minority including Muslim and phenomenal rise in Hindu fanaticism is state sponsored policy of India, under BJP which uses Indian intelligence agencies, RAW and other similar outfits for the proliferation and achievement of the same. They have missed no opportunity to communalize national politics of India. However, Ne Delhi has broken all the records of violence, genocide and massacre perpetrated on various ethnic and religious groups entailing the community of its own lower castes.

Although apparently, India claims to be the largest democracy, acting upon the principles of liberalism and secularism, yet in practice, all political, economic and social fields of the country are divided on the caste lines. It is surprising that theoretically, Indian Constitution safeguards the rights of minorities, but in practice, ideology of Hindutva prevails. Hindu majority led by the BJP has shown complete disregard to the Constitution, and commit excesses and cruelties against Muslims, Sikhs, Christians and Dalits with impunity.
In this context, Tim Sullivan of the Associated Press wrote, “There’s a lot of lip service to saying ‘I’m an Indian first, and ‘I’ do not believe in caste,” said D’Souza, a prominent campaigner for Dalits, as India’s “untouchables” at the very bottom of the caste system are now known.” Sullivan elaborated, “When it comes to sharing power, to interaction and to sharing social status, low-caste Indians are very much marginalized.”

Nonetheless, some of the fanatic Hindu groups are not in favour of a separate and distinct culture for minorities. A Hindu fundamentalist namely Prof Balraj Madhok has suggested that the minorities must adopt Indian (Hindu) names.

Now, schools and other educational institutions are being systematically Hinduized. References to Hindu gods and goddesses abound in the text books. Books, prescribed by the Education Boards contain lessons giving false stories of Muslim atrocities on Hindu women.

Undoubtedly, Hindu fundamentalism is increasingly widening its influence everywhere and has already established for itself a firm base in every sector of the Indian society including bureaucracy, media, educational institutions, and so on.

The hate campaign unleashed by the Indian fundamentalist forces is keeping the minority wholly preoccupied with defending their basic human rights and cultural identity. Hindu fanatics are tightening the noose around the minorities and ethnic groups in India, as maltreatment with them continues unabated.

Meanwhile, learning no lesson from the past, and depending upon state terrorism, Modi has finalized the raising of Indian Reserve Police Battalions (IRBPs) in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) and Naxal/Maoist hit states or Left Wing Extremism (LWE) areas, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Out of the total 25 IRBPs proposed, five will be for IOK and 12 for LWE affected states whereas rest of 8, IRBPs for other states. While, a number of separatist movements in India indicates wide scale social injustice and gross human rights violations in the country.

It is of particular attention that 50 Indian writers have returned their awards in protest to rising Hindu extremism under Modi rule.

It is the right hour that the West and particular the US must abandon its double standard by taking appropriate steps against maltreatment with the minorities in India. Otherwise, by promoting religious and ethnic chauvinism in India, Hindu extremists may cause World War 111 or clash of civilizations.

October 27: Reminder of Kashmir Black Day

By Sajjad Shaukat

Although 27th of October is celebrated every year as the “Black Day” by the Pakistanis and the Kashmiris all over the world as a protest against Indian illegal occupation of Kashmir on October 27, 1947, yet the issue is still alive due to continued struggle of the Kashmiri people.

During the partition of the Sub-continent, the people of the state of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) which comprised Muslim majority decided to join Pakistan according to the British-led formula. But, Dogra Raja, Sir Hari Singh, a Hindu who was ruling over the J&K, in connivance with the Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and Governor General Lord Mountbatten joined India.

The design to forcibly wrest Kashmir began to unfold on August 16, 1947, with the announcement of the Radcliffe Boundary Award. It gave the Gurdaspur District—a majority Muslim area to India to provide a land route to the Indian armed forces to move into Kashmir. There was a rebellion in the state forces, which revolted against the Maharaja and were joined by Pathan tribesmen. Lord Mountbatten ordered armed forces to land in Srinagar.

When Pakistan responded militarily against the Indian aggression, on December 31, 1947, India made an appeal to the UN Security Council to intervene and a ceasefire ultimately came into effect on January 01, 1949, following UN resolutions calling for a plebiscite in Kashmir to enable the people of Jammu and Kashmir to determine whether they wish to join Pakistan or India. On February 5, 1964, India backed out of its promise of holding plebiscite. Instead, in March 1965, the Indian Parliament passed a bill, declaring Kashmir a province of India-an integral part of the Indian union.

The very tragedy of Kashmiris had started after 1947 when they were denied their genuine right of self-determination. They organized themselves against the injustices of India and launched a war of liberation which New Delhi tried to crush through various forms of brutalities.

It is notable that since 1947, in order to maintain its illegal control, India has continued its repressive regime in the Occupied Kashmir through various machinations.

Nevertheless, various forms of state terrorism have been part of a deliberate campaign by the Indian army and paramilitary forces against Muslim Kashmiris, especially since 1989. It has been manifested in brutal tactics like crackdowns, curfews, illegal detentions, massacre, targeted killings, sieges, burning the houses, torture, disappearances, rape, breaking the legs, molestation of Muslim women and killing of persons through fake encounter.

According to a report on human rights violations in the Indian Occupied Kashmir, since 1989, there have been deaths of 1,00000 innocent Kashmiris, 7,023 custodial killings, 1,22,771 arrests, 1,05,996 destruction of houses or buildings, 22,776 women widowed, 1,07,466 children orphaned and 10,086 women gang-raped/molested. Indian brutal securities forces have continue these atrocities.

In fact, Indian forces have employed various draconian laws like the Jammu and Kashmir Disturbed Areas Act, and the Armed Forces (Jammu and Kashmir) Special Powers Act and Public Safety Act in killing the Kashmiri people, and for the arbitrarily arrest of any individual for an indefinite period.

Besides Human Rights Watch, in its various reports, Amnesty International has also pointed out grave human rights violations in the Indian controlled Kashmir, indicating, “The Muslim majority population in the Kashmir Valley suffers from the repressive tactics of the security forces.

In its report on July 2, 2015, the Amnesty International has highlighted extrajudicial killings of the innocent persons at the hands of Indian security forces in the Indian Held Kashmir. The report points out, “Tens of thousands of security forces are deployed in Indian-administered Kashmir…the Armed Forces Special Powers Act allows troops to shoot to kill suspected militants or arrest them without a warrant…not a single member of the armed forces has been tried in a civilian court for violating human rights in Kashmir…this lack of accountability has in turn facilitated other serious abuses…India has martyred one 100,000 people. More than 8,000 disappeared (while) in the custody of army and state police.”

In this respect, European Union has passed a resolution about human rights abuses committed by Indian forces in the Indian held Kashmir.

It is of particular attention that in 2008, a rights group reported unmarked graves in 55 villages across the northern regions of the Indian-held Kashmir. Then researchers and other groups reported finding thousands of mass graves without markers. In this respect, in August, 2011, Indian Jammu and Kashmir State Human Rights Commission officially acknowledged in its report that innocent civilians killed in the two-decade conflict have been buried in unmarked graves.

Notably, foreign sources and human rights organisations have revealed that unnamed graves include those innocent persons, killed by the Indian military and paramilitary troops in the fake encounters including those who were tortured to death by the Indian secret agency RAW.

Indian authorities are not willing to talk with Kashmiri people on political grounds. New Delhi reached to a conclusion that only bullet is the right way of dealing with Kashmiris, demanding their right of self-determination. Surprisingly, Indian successive governments are trying to ignore the dynamics of the freedom movement of Kashmiris for the sake of their alien rule.

But, New Delhi is still showing its intransigence in order to resolve Kashmir dispute with Pakistan by neglecting the fact that Kashmir remains a nuclear flashpoint between both the neighbouring countries.

In this context, Egbert Jahn in his book, “Kashmir: Flashpoint for a Nuclear War or Even a Third World War?” has pointed out, “The Kashmir conflict is embedded in the wider conflict over the incomplete creation of nations and states on the Indian subcontinent, which during the east-west conflict even threatened at times to escalate into a nuclear world war between Pakistan and the USA on the one side and India and the USSR on the other. Until now, there have been three wars between India and Pakistan over the Jammu and Kashmir: in 1947–49, 1965 and 1999… finally, the Indo-Chinese border war of 1962…after these wars…and could unexpectedly again lead to a regional and under certain circumstances…even a major nuclear war or a Third World War.”

Meanwhile, like the previous year, Pakistan’s recent serious and sincere effort at the annual session of the United Nations—the recent speech of Pakistan’s prime minister and his meeting with the American president, highlighting the Kashmir dispute and demanding its solution has infused a new spirit among the Kashmiri people.

Nonetheless, Kashmiris, living both sides of the LoC observe “Black Day” on October 27 to protest against the Indian illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir. On this very day, Pakistanis and Kashmiris across the globe express solidarity with the freedom fighters of Kashmir, demanding their legitimate right of self-determination from India which continues various forms of state terrorism in order to suppress their popular movement.

25th October: Kashmir Million March

By Sajjad Shaukat

On October 20, this year, former Prime Minister of Pakistan administered Kashmir; Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry said that Kashmiri March is being organized on October 25, 2015 in New York in front of the UNO headquarter to press for just and durable resolution of longstanding Kashmir issue. He urged the Pakistanis and Kashmiris and Americans as well as those who believe in human rights and human dignity to participate in the Kashmir Million March to make it a great success. In this regard, invitations have been sent to Hurryat leaders of the Indian occupied Kashmir including Syed Ali Gillani, Mir Waiz, Shabir Shah and Asiya Andrabi (Hurryat Conference) and other leaders and dignitaries.

The real aims of the Kashmir Million March is to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir and to draw attention of the international community towards Kashmir issue, displaying that this struggle would continue till the independence of Kashmir.

Last year, People belonging to various segments of society including political parties and other important dignitaries came out on the streets of London in UK and participated in the Kashmir Million March to express solidarity with the citizens of Indian-held Kashmir in their decades-long struggle for the right of self-determination, protesting against the human rights violations by Indian troops in the Indian-occupied Kashmir.

Despite the sinister efforts of Indian high officials and media to sabotage the Kashmir Million March, it held in the heart of London. In this regard, some Indian-backed miscreants threw bottles at the stage from where the participants of the March were to be addressed. In this respect, Barrister Sultan Mehmood said India’s sympathizers tried to sabotage the procession.

Addressing the gathering, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, British parliamentarian Lord Nazir and other speakers said, “There is a need for the united efforts so that a message can be given to the international community that there would be no peace unless Kashmir issue is resolved...the Kashmir issue must be resolved in the light of UN resolutions…if a referendum about freedom of Scotland can be held, then similar thing can be arranged for Kashmiris too.”

It is notable that India has started a propaganda campaign regarding Kashmir. In this context, India claimed that on October 25, 1947, the then ruling Hindu Maharaja of Kashmir, Hari Singh had opted for accession to India by signing the instrument of accession and Indian Government had accepted it on October 27 1947. In fact, this act of Hindu Raja was in total contrast to the aspirations of Muslim majority of Kashmir, who desired to join Pakistan. India’s occupation of Kashmir was against the international norms and a “Standstill Agreement” signed by Hari Singh with Pakistan on August 15 1947. (Refer page 97 of Conflicts between India & Pakistan-An Encyclopedia compiled by Peter Lyon). Consequently, India inserted armed forces into Kashmir and forcefully occupied it. The people of Kashmir retaliated by fomenting an indigenous resistance movement against the Indian intruders.

As a matter of fact, India occupied two third of the territory of Jammu and Kashmir known as 1ndian occupied Kashmir, whereas one third area was liberated by local Muslims as Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Since then, New Delhi has been suppressing the innocent people of Indian dominated Kashmir through mass extra judicial killings, forced disappearances at the hands of forces—gang rapes, indiscriminate use of force and torture, firing on demonstrations, custodial killings, encounters, detentions etc.

Since 1989, over 50,000 (By some reports nearly 100,000), Kashmiri people have been killed during the ongoing conflict), while, State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) has found 2,730 bodies buried into unmarked graves, scattered all over Kashmir—believed to contain the remains of victims of unlawful killings by Indian security forces.

Several international agencies and UN have reported gross human rights violations in Indian controlled Kashmir. In a press release, the spokesman of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) stated, “The Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights is concerned about the recent violent protests in Indian administered Kashmir that have reportedly led to civilian casualties as well as restrictions to the right to freedom of assembly and expression.” A 2008 report by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees determined that Indian-administered Kashmir was only ‘partly free.’ A recent report by Amnesty International stated that up to 20,000 people have been detained under a law called Armed Forces Special Powers Act -1958 (AFSPA) in Indian-administered Kashmir.

Undoubtedly, the Kashmir dispute as recorded in United Nations document involves the right of “self-determination” which means the right of all people to freely determine their political status. UN Security Council clearly laid down that question of accession of the State of Jammu and Kashmir to India or Pakistan will be decided through democratic method of free and impartial plebiscite. The UN resolutions are still valid even though India has made many efforts to declare them bilateral after Simla agreement. It is a unilateral interpretation of the issue by Indian leadership to keep it in a cold storage. Despite passage of more than 40 years, India has not made any serious effort to resolve this issue. In this respect, New Delhi’s move of cancellation of recent Foreign Secretary level talks Islamabad is a point in case. In such a background, Kashmiri people have time and again been registering their voice to highlight their plight and attract attention of the world community to acknowledge their right of self-determination.

It is mentionable that like the previous year, Pakistan’s recent serious and sincere effort at the annual session of the United Nations—the speech of Pakistan’s prime minister and his meeting with the American president, highlighting the Kashmir dispute and demanding its solution has infused a new spirit among the Kashmiri people.

However, last year, Barrister Sultan Mahmood spearheaded the event. It is projected that Kashmir Million March not only highlighted the grave human tragedy in Indian-occupied Kashmir, but also called on Britain to play its role in helping the Kashmiris obtain their legitimate right of self-determination. The Barrister has also demanded of the United Nations to take notice of the killing of the innocent Kashmiri people as a result of firing on Line of Control. He remarked that the Kashmir Million March would be befitting reply to the Indian aggression. He also demanded that the Indian Prime Minister, instead of issuing provocative statements should withdraw 800,000 Indian forces deployed in the disputed territory. Barrister Sultan and Andrew Griffiths Member of the British Parliament and Chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Kashmir in the House of Commons also addressed a press conference in the British parliament ahead of the march, and pledged that people in electoral constituencies will be made the part of the Kashmir movement.

Frustrated by the campaign of Kashmiri people, India through diplomatic channels raised the issue of Kashmir Million March with Britain in a meeting of Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj with Britain’s Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg in London. India was also trying to project through media that Kashmiris are divided over organizing Kashmir Million March to be organized from Trafalgar Square to the 10 Downing Street.

However, Kashmir is an internationally recognized dispute and cannot be resolved at bilateral level. Indian government’s propaganda of describing mass Kashmiri resistance as terrorist activity is an attempt to nullify the indigenous nature of freedom struggle in Jammu and Kashmir. Despite India’s harsh and repressive measures, Kashmiri movement for self determination can not be suppressed.

Pakistan being a legitimate party to the Kashmir dispute, by virtue of partition plan and UN resolutions, has right to support the cause of the right of self determination of Kashmiri.

Nevertheless, Kashmir Million March organized in UK is true reflection of the aspirations of the Kashmiri people who are endeavoring to wake up the conscience of world community (Specially the super powers) to listen to their voice, and become aware of true face of democratic India.

And the March is show of unity among the Kashmiri people, and a “signature plebiscite” against the Indian occupation and oppressive activities.

By resorting to desperate diplomatic activities to influence UK authorities with regard to Kashmir Million March, New Delhi has acknowledged that it uses oppressive methods to gag the aspiration of the Kashmiri people.

While, the March is also an encouragement for other oppressed communities of India to display their solidarity to the people of Kashmir and also highlight their light as well.

It is of particular attention that the West propagates the freedom of expression and demonstration, so the UK Government upheld its traditions by allowing and fully supporting the said March.

Especially, a petition was submitted asking the British government to impress upon India to resolve the Kashmir dispute. In a statement, Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Gilani declared the Million March a much-needed step and stated that it is to give the world a message that terrorism has no direct or indirect link to the Kashmir liberation movement and the people of Kashmir were struggling for their genuine right.

Nonetheless, Kashmir Million March in New York would prove a milestone in the struggle of Kashmiris’ right of self-determination, and an obstacle to the intransigence of India which is using delaying tactics in resolving this old issue.

America’s Zionist-Framed Policies Backfire on Patriot Americans

By Sajjad Shaukat

Famous political thinker, Morgenthau and others agree that a number of internal factors like population, system of government, geographical location, economic output etc. play a key role in formulating the foreign policy of a country. But, this thesis is quite opposite to the United States where the Zionist Jews shape the internal policies, while moulding American external policy in accordance with their own interests, devoted to Israel.

In this respect, recent developments such as Russian airstrikes on the ISIL (Daesh) targets by boosting its military presence in northern Syria in support of President Bashar al-Assad, the Defense Department’s announcement to abandon the goal of training the Syrian rebels, failure of the CIA-supported rebels to topple his government, Russian President Putin’s coalition with Iran, Iraq and Syria to root out the ISIL militants, his warning to the Israeli P.M. Netanyahu regarding Israel’s violations of Syrian sovereignty, indicating the Zionist regime in the US and  Israel for their “phony war on ISIL”, and saying, “NWO (New World Order) agents and Satan worshipers simply have no clothes”, and description of Syrian drastic situation by the analysts as the most spectacular US foreign policy disaster have clearly exposed reality behind the so-called global war on terror, while, showing that America’s Zionist-framed policies have now started backfiring  on the patriot Americans.

In this context, Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney pointed outs, “It is long been clear that the pro-Israel, ultra-Zionist network of think-tanks, public policy organizations, media outlets and lobbying organizations which have absolute control over the United States Congress, executive branch and foreign policy, actually run the US government…politicians who do not submit to the Zionist agenda are not elected or appointed to serve the government. We know that no government can serve two masters, and as a result, we have seen Israeli priorities placed above those of the American people.”

McKinney explains, “The idea that our leaders are pursuing America’s vital national interests abroad–is a myth…Israelis have a singularly powerful lobby in the US, which wields such political clout that no politician can afford to cross them…the pro-Israel movement, a well-organized political machine that operates as the Israeli government’s agent in America…a fifth column in league with a foreign government, so powerful that it has become the decisive factor in determining US policy.”

In the words of Senator Fulbright, “Israel’s control over Washington has grown tremendously like a malignant cancer…making the US as a puppet nation of Israel.”

In fact, Jews are owners of the many big cartels of the US in particular and the world in general. Based in the US, by running the major multinational corporations, arms factories, five star hotels, oil companies, liquor business, banks, film industry, print and electronic media on international level—having influence on the financial institutes like World Bank and International Monetary Fund, Jews have direct and indirect hold on the global economy. Thus, by dominating the American internal policies, Zionist Jews mould country’s foreign policy for their own interests.
In this connection, American President George W. Bush and neo-conservatives crossed all the limits in protecting the political, economic and religious interests of the Jews and Israel at the cost of Muslims and patriot Americans.

Just after the September 11 tragedy inside the United States, chauvinism and extremism was deliberately developed among the Americans through media and statements of high officials of the Bush Administration. President Bush used the words, “crusade against the evil-doers”, adding to the perception that the ongoing ‘different war’ against terrorism is actually a war against the Muslim countries. Inside the US, suddenly, every Muslim found himself divested of his nationality. Inside the US, arrests, detentions and harassment of the Muslims by the CIA and the FBI were other steps which still continue. Israeli atrocities on the Palestinians were brushed aside.

American unity was projected with such force as to allow no questioning of the US policy. Under the cover of the 9/11 catastrophe, preplanned strategy of the neo-conservatives headed towards a series of unexpected developments and events such as employment of coercive diplomacy on the weak states—Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Yemen etc., including almost all the Gulf states which decided to join Bush anti-terrorism war. Particularly, Pakistan became a frontline state of the US war on terror. US did not bother for rise of more militancy and internal instability in these countries. Bush also got the sympathies of other western and NATO countries for global war on terror. Besides, US and NATO attacked Afghanistan and then without mandate of the UN Security Council, American-Anglo forces invaded Iraq. Like the militants’ brutal tactics, US-led forces also employed state terrorism by special military operations, extra-judicial assassinations and heavy aerial bombardment, which killed several innocent persons especially in Iraq and Afghanistan. And suspected Muslims were also kept in Guantanamo Bay, Abu Graib and other cells, established in some Islamic countries and small European states where personnel of the CIA, the FBI, and the military employed various methods of torture like physical violence and even murder.

However, the September 11 tragedy was fully manipulated by Israel who had joined the Bush’s anti-war terrorism enterprise so as to target Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran and Pakistan (Which survived due to American prolonged war in Afghanistan) in particular and other Muslim countries in general. For this purpose, Jews also got the services of some Hindus to continue their anti-Muslim campaign. In this connection, by availing the international phenomena of terrorism, Jewish-Hindu lobbies which are collectively working in America and other European countries have been exploiting the double standards of the US-led west regarding terrorism and human rights vis-à-vis Pakistan, Iran, Syria, Libya, Yemen, Egypt etc. Especially, Israel and India are still equating the ‘wars of independence’ in Kashmir and Palestine with terrorism. And New Delhi considers Pakistan as its enemy number one, while Tel Aviv takes Iran in the same sense owing to its nuclear programme. Israel is also against Pakistan, as it is the only nuclear country in the Islamic world. Notably, Indo-Israeli lobbies have introduced dangerous socio-religious elements in American and western societies by equating the so-called war on terror with war on Islam and acts of Al Qaeda and ISIL with all the Muslims—contributed to re-shape the global politics on cultural and religious lines.

When Barrack Obama became American President, it was expected that he would rectify the blunders, committed by his predecessor in the name of war on terror, and he would resolve the Palestinian-Israeli dispute and issue of Kashmir between India and Pakistan. Instead, Obama-led US Administration continued indirect support to the Israeli atrocities on the Palestinians, while displaying silence over the brutal tactics, adopted by the Indian security forces in the Indian-held Kashmir. This ambivalent strategy resulted into more recruitment of Jihadists and suicide attacks, and it became difficult for the pro-American rulers of Saudi Arabia and other volatile Islamic countries to cope with the problem of militancy.

Overtly, like Bush, President Obama also repeatedly stated that Muslims are moderate and Islam is a religion of peace, but covertly, he followed the agenda of the Bush to secure the Zionist-shaped policies. Learning no lesson from the US and NATO’s longest war in Afghanistan, facing defeatism in that country, Obama continued state terrorism and extrajudicial killings of the innocent persons through illegitimate drone attacks—assisting undemocratic forces, the return of a military strongman in Egypt by toppling the elected government, like Iraq, creation of more collapsed states such as Libya, Syria, Yemen etc., which opened the door for Al-Qaeda and ISIL activists, coupled with total failure to convince Tel Aviv to abandon “settlements,” and to end delaying tactics in resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the perennial humiliations of the Palestinians—starving people through Gaza blockade.

Nevertheless, after 14 years of the protracted war, a perennial wave of attacks on the US and NATO installations and ambush assaults on their military personnel by the Taliban in Afghanistan, terror-attacks on Christians in Nigeria and other African countries including Iraq—sectarian violence and some terror-attacks inside America, France and UK deteriorated the global war on terror. Thus, President Obama caused political and economic instability in the world, jeopardizing the American global interests.

Besides, a number of external and internal developments like huge cost of war on terror, financial crisis, and other-related problems which affected American public, and also enveloped other western countries—reluctance of NATO countries to join American war in Syria, including curtailment of liberties, failure of the of Obamacare, rift between the Republicans and the Democrats added to the dilemma of Americans.

As a matter of fact, Jews who are about 2 percent of the US population and only about 4 percent of the electorate nationwide, mould the internal and external policies of America by setting aside the majority opinion of the non-Jewish American nationals. In other words, this odd phenomenon makes the American democracy a farce and rendered the nation’s claim of a free world, adhering to the liberal policies, asserting champion of human rights obsolete. However, by blindly following the Zionist-framed policies, President Obama has turned the US into a Jewish autocracy, and converted the dream of Henry Kissinger into reality.

In this respect, with reference to war on terror, in an article on September 25, 2011, titled, “It Is Official: the US Is A Police State,” Paul Craig Roberts, Assistant Treasury Secretary of the Reagan regime, wrote, “The methods used for the suppression of foreigners by military force and violence abroad are eventually mirrored in the homeland…America becomes ever more the police state at home.”
In this regard, the renowned writer, author and the social activist Dr. Stuart Jeanne Bramhall in her book, “The Most Revolutionary ACT: Memoir of an American Refugee” and in her various articles/blogs, while mentioning the leakage of Transpacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA), (An agreement to suppress sovereign democratic rights in favour of multinational corporations)—  negative effects of globalization, pointed out Israeli lobbies, multinational companies/corporate industries, CIA operatives and some leading media houses which are working jointly and they do not care for world peace.

According to Abraham Lincoln, “You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.” Nonetheless, in the present world of social media and Internet, now, patriot Americans have openly started criticizing the Zionist-protected policies of the US, putting questions that are they paying taxes to the CIA and military establishment (Their huge budgets) which are fighting useless proxy wars in the world, being fought for the sake of Israel in wake of modern global trends like renunciation of war, peaceful settlement of disputes and economic development.
